Spotlight On Technical Support

“I depend absolutely on them and my research program would grind to a halt in a couple of days without them.” – Hugh MacIntyre

“Mike and Al have helped me several times with a reef-coring project in Bocas del Toro in Panama. It is no exaggeration to say that I couldn’t have done it without them.” – Rich Aronson

Technical Support in the dive locker.  Kneeling (l-r) Yantzee Hintz; Al gunter.  Standing (l-r) Kyle Weis; Tech Support Supervisor Mike Dardeau; Laura Linn

“I doubt the faculty could be as productive without them. They are an integral part of what the Sea Lab is about.” – Just Cebrian

“I consider myself quite fortunate to get superb technical support from the them, which has been essential to my research. They are highly professional and competent.” – Kyeong Park

Who’s getting all the kudos? It’s Technical Support, the jack-of-all trades department that answers to a bewildering array of research demands from faculty and graduate students. Field instrumentation, laboratory instrumentation, wet lab support, scientific diving…name it, and Tech Support can usually provide it in the most professional manner.
