Changes

After more than three decades of leadership at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab, Executive Director Dr. George F. Crozier will be retiring at the end of 2007.  Modesty prevents this entire issue of Tidings being devoted to this outstanding individual, who has led the facility from a former Air Force Base to one of the most respected marine education and research centers in the nation, but tribute must be paid nonetheless. Former staff members and graduate students are encouraged to contact anicholson@disl.org for more information on a retirement and reunion celebration in late November.

This will also be the last hard-copy appearance of Tidings.  In an effort to conserve resources, the Sea Lab newsletter will enter the 21st century with an electronic edition.  More frequent issues with color graphics, and links to longer stories will be offered to all those interested in the myriad of activities at the Sea Lab.  Sign up for your subscription today at http://tidings.disl.org.
